The Range Rover Sport SVR – A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing

What happens if you build in the same supercharged V8 of the Jaguar F-Type SVR in an SUV? Once you’ve stepped on the gas, the new Range Rover Sport SVR 2018 goes off like a freight train – a masterpiece in its class and a real wolf in sheep’s clothing! The engineers at the Special Vehicle Operations Centre (SVO) in Warwickshire have once again done a great job, but more about that now. Pictures & Rights https://www.kimon-maritz.com

The first impression of the Range Rover Sport SVR

Anyone who has already driven the predecessor or even the V8 of the Jaguar F-Type will have high expectations and a lot of anticipation for this Range Rover Sport SVR, which – at least from the outside – looks somewhat well-behaved.

2018 Edition – What changed?

The interior has been done very well, the Range Rover Sport SVR looks tidy and above all: classy.

  • Two integrated 10″ Touch Screens Touch Pro Duo which were adopted from the successful, timeless design of the Range Rover Velar.
  • Hidden controls on the steering wheel that only become visible when a function is activated
  • Attractive and light performance seats were installed, which can be ordered with optional cooling function.
  • The centre console can be converted into a cooling compartment at the touch of a button
  • Head-up display
  • Decorative elements such as shift paddles in satin brushed aluminium (often in plastic for competitors)

From the outside, a few details also stand out

  • Adaptive headlights
  • Functional air intakes were built into the bonnet
  • Chrome exhaust tailpipes
  • Wide, beefy front

Our trip over the Oberalp Pass

Freezing temperatures and a strong and cold wind dominated this Saturday morning on the Oberalp Pass. Thanks to a heated steering wheel, seat heating and panorama roof in this car: an absolute dream. The sun shone with its first rays over the snow-covered landscape and I hear and feel only one thing: the V8, whose sound couldn’t be more great, effortlessly hurls me up the pass. Conclusion: I still can’t believe how much fun this SUV is! The sound is absolutely crazy and compared to the F-Type a healthy note richer and more mature. The 2.3 tons weight are certainly noticeable and yet this SUV turns in directly and shoots you out of the next corner with a lot of power – phenomenal! And we’re talking about a 5-seater with 780 liters loading capacity.

Faster than a Ferrari 458 Italia

The news went through the press in lightning speed, the Range Rover Sport SVR mastered the pass road up to Tianmen Mountain in the Chinese province of Hunan in the new unofficial record time of 9:51 minutes and beat the time of a Ferrari 458 Italia.

The OMEGA Seamaster Diver Celebrates 25 Legendary Years

The legendary OMEGA Seamaster Professional Diver was first presented 25 years ago. This timepiece initiated OMEGA’s return to the world of diving watches and also sparked the brand’s long-term partnership with James Bond – two years later it was seen in the famous film ‘Goldeneye’ as an important gadget of 007.

25 years of the OMEGA Seamaster Diver

Under the motto #diveintoinfinity, you can view the entire collection in the OMEGA Boutique on Bahnhofstrasse Zurich until the end of the year, experience OMEGA‘s infinity room and feel like you’re in ‘Interstellar’ – worth a visit!

1993 – The first OMEGA Seamaster Diver

Waterproof to 300 metres, an absolute eye-catcher and more precise than ever: when the OMEGA Seamaster Diver was launched in 1993, it was an immediate success. Admired for its design and technical ability, the timepiece was quickly worn by divers, athletes, researchers and of course: the most famous spy.

1994 – 2015 The legend evolves

Over the past 25 years, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver has evolved into a must-have watch that clearly belongs in the collection of every enthusiast.

  • 1994 Wins ‘Watch of the Year’ award in German magazine
  • 1995 The watch makes history again as a companion to the New Zealand sailing team that wins the America’s Cup.
  • In the same year a partnership with James Bond is established.
  • 1997 it is worn by other athletes in swimming or tennis
  • In 2000, Sir Peter Blake establishes a foundation to explore ecological and marine issues around the world.
  • 2006 – Already for the 5th time the OMEGA Seamster Diver 300M is worn in a Bond film.

Baselworld 2018 – OMEGA presents 14 unique models of the Seamaster Diver 300M

At this year’s Baselworld, OMEGA presented 14 revised models with a new facelift, 6 in steel and 8 in a mix of steel and 18k gold.

Mechanical precision

A master chronometer caliber 8800 was used, which immediately brings the new collection into a higher range of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.

New and innovative design

The exterior of the Seamaster Diver has also been rethought and reworked down to the last detail.

Measuring time underwater is crucial for every diver, so the bezel of the new OMEGA Seamaster 300M has been given a fresh design.

The helium escape valve has been given a conical shape and patented with an ingenious new technology. Essentially, the update now means that if the valve is accidentally opened under water, the watch is guaranteed to remain waterproof (up to 5 bar).

Daniel Craig – the face of the new campaign

The latest campaign combines sophistication and fun – it features an elegant but drenched Daniel Craig in a tuxedo and the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M underwater. The picture reflects what the watch is capable of: whether elegant, sporty or diving – everything is possible with an OMEGA.

Muscular Mens Fashion – 5 Tips From An Expert

JsTIEls Muscular Mens Fashion – 5 Tips

Hello together my name is Jürg, on IG also known as @jsTIEls and today I write about muscular mens fashion. Allow me to introduce myself: I’m 32 years old and discovered my love for fashion a few years ago when I worked as a car salesman and the suit and tie were part of the dress code. I’m not workin as a car salesman anymore, but I still pay a lot of attention (more than ever) to my appearance, especially to my clothes.

How the whole thing started

I started training when I was 17 years old and by that I mean lifting weights. I took this very seriously and went constantly to the gym. Because of that, I have built up more muscle mass than the average. At the moment I weigh 105KG. Of course, I have to be honest here and admit that it is not all pure muscle mass, which means: I am not a bodybuilder and I also have some belly fat. So if someone has this type of body, you will undoubtedly be confronted with some issues. Buying veston or trousers will be very tedious, but it’s especially bad with suits. If you don’t want to lose any muscle mass or want to do without an elegant wardrobe, read my 5 top tips for mens muscular fashion carefully and maybe you can take something with you and put it into practice.

#1- Use elastic fabrics

Elastic fabrics are especially helpful if you are looking for a pair of jeans. Take the jeans in your hand and pull them apart to see how stretchy they are. Try the jeans on and see how they feel on the skin. What you should keep in mind is that this type of fabric will always be a bit tighter than normal jeans. In my opinion it serves the purpose and looks good. Besides, if you already have muscular legs, you can also show them.

Another advantage of the fabric, apart from the fact that it feels great on the skin, is its flexibility: you can easily pick things up without worrying about the risk of your pants ripping.

#2 – Double-breasted wear

Apart from the very stylish aspect of double-breasted waistcoats, more muscular people can benefit from a nice advantage. Because the cut is slightly more “open”, so to speak, this gives you just that bit of extra fabric, since muscular people like me desperately need to have a little more space and still wear an elegant element.

#3 – Vests make the difference

Often people who train a lot have a pronounced V-shape in their physique. This in turn means that you literally have to get up a bit with the numbers, especially with Vestons. Or, as Hugo Jacomet called it, “Going to another level”: That’s why you have to have the courage to wear a vest! – I love my vests. Here again – apart from the stylish aspect – the vest benefits muscular people because it emphasizes the build of the body. So if you have well-developed shoulders, the vest is an absolute must-have!

#4 – MTM or Bespoke

The obvious way if it comes to mens muscular fashion: If you don’t find anything suitable in the shop, you just get something made to measure (called MTM – made to measure). This is great, of course, but you’ll have to dig a little deeper into your pocket. If it doesn’t matter, it’s probably the best choice, especially when it comes to suits.

If you choose “bespoke”, it’s a bit more expensive, but you will have an absolutely unique piece. What I have to add here, is the following: if you are a bodybuilder or if your appearance is similar, it will always be visible – what ever you’re wearing.

bodybuilder clothing

#5 – Trade-off

Imagine you’re walking into a store and you see a jacket and you think, “I gotta have it!” You try on the piece and notice that it’s a little too tight for you, so that you can just raise your arm high enough to shake someone’s hand. The ‘trade-off’ is to buy the thing anyway and make a small compromise.
