Leisure, sport & relaxation on Sentosa Island

After our very relaxed business class flight with Singapore Airlines we arrived at the airport. A friendly guide was already waiting for us, then we went by car to Sentosa Island.

How to get there?

The island of Sentosa is about 5 square kilometers and is located half a kilometer south of the main island Pulau Ujong. It can be reached by car or the Sentosa Express.

What to find on Sentosa Island

There are a lot of leisure activities, which certainly also accommodate families with children:

The Top Golf Courses In Singapore

A few words about the weather: the climate is hot and humid throughout the year. It is advisable to take enough water with you. Thunderstorms are always possible, but most of the rain falls in November and December.

Not surprisingly, Golf Digest puts him in the Top 100: An incredible course with spectacular views of the harbour and the city. Definitely our favourite of the two golf courses in Singapore.

There are few hills and wide fairways, so the course is a bit easier to play.

Our hotel recommendation – the Capella Singapore

On Sentosa Island there is the Capella Hotel, two restored Tanah Merah colonial bungalows from the 1880s, which have been extended by a modern part. The hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of gardens and parks surrounded by the sea. The two golf courses in Singapore are just a stone’s throw away.

Plenty of space and privacy

The hotel has some turnaround and offers direct access to the beach. The 112 rooms are the largest in Singapore and are offered in different classes (Garden Villas, Suites etc.). On request there is a free shuttle to the hotel room.
